The Bosch B920 is often the go-to keypad for integrators installing Bosch alarms. This blog post will teach you how to use the basic functions of your alarm systems keypad.
Please note the terminology found in the keypad menus and in the Operation manual will vary, however, their meaning is the same:

How to operate quick commands with B94x / B93x / B92x / B91x keypads
- Press CMD + one or two digits as shown in the table below.
- Enter your passcode.
- Press ENTER.
- The quick command is executed.

Operations
The operations listed below are performed with your keypad:
Silencing alarms
- To silence an alarm, enter your passcode.
- Press ENTER.
- The alarm is silenced. Silencing troubles
- To silence a trouble, enter your passcode.
- Press ENTER
- The trouble is silenced.
Arming and Disarming
All arm the premises to detect a would-be intruder when you leave the premises and require that all points are activated in a ready state. Part arm the perimeter to detect a would-be intruder while at the same time being able to move freely within the interior of the building.
All arming, delay
All arming the premises with exit delay time gives you time to leave the premises without sounding the alarm:
How to all arm with B92x / B91x, delay
- Open the menu with the menu key on the keypad.
- Press 1 to open the on/off menu.
- Press 1 to open the all on menu.
- Press 1 to select All On Delay.
- Enter your passcode.
- Press ENTER. The exit delay time starts.
- Leave the area.
- The system is all armed. If you did not leave the area before the end of the exit delay time, the system automatically is part armed. (if you do not leave in time disarm and re-arm) All arming, instant All arming the premises without exit delay time.
How to all arm with B92x / B91x, instant
- Open the menu with the menu key on the keypad.
- Press 1 to open the on/off menu.
- Press 1 to open the all on menu.
- Press 2 to select All On Inst.
- Enter your passcode.
- Press ENTER.
- The system is all armed.
All arming an area
You can all arm an individual area or areas with or without exit delay time. Smaller systems or individual homes will typically only have 1 area.
How to all arm an area with B92x / B91x
- Open the menu with the menu key on the keypad.
- Press 1 to open the on/off menu.
- Press 1 to open the all on menu.
- Press 3 to select all on select.
- Enter your passcode.
- Press ENTER.
- To select the area, use PREV and NEXT.
- Press ENTER.
- To select On Delay or On Instant, use PREV and NEXT.
- Press ENTER.
- The area or areas are all armed.
Part arming, delay
Part arm the perimeter and unused parts of the premises with exit delay time gives you time to leave the perimeter and unused parts of the premises without sounding the alarm.
How to part arm with B92x / B91x, delay
- Open the menu with the menu key on the keypad.
- Press 1 to open the on/off menu.
- Press 2 to open the part on menu.
- Press 1 to select Part On Dly.
- Enter your passcode.
- Press ENTER. The exit delay time starts.
- Leave the area.
- The system is part armed.
Part arming, instant
Part arm the perimeter and unused parts of the premises without exit delay time.
How to part arm with B92x / B91x, instant
- Open the menu with the menu key on the keypad.
- Press 1 to open the on/off menu.
- Press 2 to open the part on menu.
- Press 2 to select Part On Inst.
- Enter your passcode.
- Press ENTER.
- The system is part armed.
Part arming an area
You can part arm an individual area or areas with or without exit delay time.
How to part arm an area with B92x / B91x
- Open the menu with the menu key on the keypad.
- Press 1 to open the on/off menu.
- Press 2 to open the part on menu.
- Press 3 to select part on select.
- Enter your passcode.
- Press ENTER.
- To select the area, use PREV and NEXT.
- Press ENTER.
- To select On Delay or On Instant, use PREV and NEXT.
- Press ENTER.
- The area or areas are part armed.
Disarming the system
- To disarm the system, enter your passcode.
- Press ENTER.
- The system is disarmed.

You can disarm an individual area or areas.
How to disarm an area with B92x / B91x
- Open the menu with the menu key on the keypad.
- Press 1 to open the on/off menu.
- Press 3 to select Off.
- Press 2 to select turn off select.
- Enter your passcode.
- Press ENTER.
- To select the area, use PREV and NEXT.
- Press ENTER.
- The area or areas are disarmed
Bypassing
If there is a problem with one of your sensors that point may need to be bypassed until it can be serviced by Advanced Alarm. Bypass a point or points to disable them for one arming cycle. After one arming cycle, the point or points are automatically unbypassed.

- Open the menu with the menu key on the keypad.
- Press 1 to open the on/off menu.
- Press 5 to open the bypass menu.
- Press 1 to open the bypass points.
- Enter your passcode.
- Press ENTER.
- To select a point, use PREV and NEXT.
- Press ENTER.
- The point is bypassed.
Unbypassing a point
How to unbypass a point with B92x / B91x
- Open the menu with the menu key on the keypad.
- Press 1 to open the on/off menu.
- Press 5 to open the bypass menu
- Press 2 to open the unbypass points menu.
- Enter your passcode.
- Press ENTER.
- To select a point, use PREV and NEXT.
- Press ENTER.
- The point is unbypassed.
Resetting sensors
After an alarm or trouble, some sensors such as smoke detectors have to be reset so that they can go back to the normal state. Make sure that no danger, such as smoke, fire or an intruder is present in the premises before resetting sensors.
How to reset sensors with B92x / B91x
- Open the menu with the menu key on the keypad.
- Press 3 to open the actions menu.
- Press 1 to select reset sensors.
- The sensors are reset.
- The system is ready to be armed
User Settings
Every user has a number assigned (up to 10-2000, depending on the control panel series). If assigning a new user, you need to assign that user to those numbers which have not already been designated. If you do not know which numbers are assigned already, contact Advanced Alarm.
How to add a user with B92x / B91x
- Open the menu with the menu key on the keypad.
- Press 4 to open the users menu.
- Press 2 to select add user.
- Enter your passcode.
- Press ENTER.
- Enter the number for the user you want to add.
- Press ENTER twice.
- A new user has been added and is ready to be configured.
Editing a user
Every user has a number assigned (up to 10-2000, depending on the control panel series). You need to know which number is assigned to a user to edit that user. If you do not know which number a particular user is assigned, contact Advanced Alarm. Every user has a user level (1 - 14) assigned. A new user would typically have a user level of 2.
How to edit a user with B92x / B91x
- Open the menu with the menu key on the keypad.
- Press 4 to open the users menu.
- Press 3 to select edit user.
- Enter your passcode.
- Press ENTER.
- Enter the number of the user you want to edit.
- Press ENTER twice.
How to change the passcode with B92x / B91x
- Press 1 to open the [Passcode] menu.
- Enter the new passcode (3 to 6 digits) of the user.
- Press ENTER.
- Enter the new passcode of the user again.
- Press ENTER.
- The passcode is changed.
How to change the user name with B92x / B91x
- Press 2 to open the [Name] menu.
- Enter the new name of the user.
- Press ENTER.
- The name is changed.
How to change the user level with B92x / B91x
- Press 3 to open the [Level] menu.
- Press ENTER.
- To select the new user level number of the user, use PREV and NEXT.
- Press ENTER.
- The user level is changed. If more than one area is available, the user level for the next areas can be changed.
Deleting a user

- Enter the number of the user you want to delete.
- Press ENTER twice.
- The user is deleted.
Setting date and time
How to set date and time with B92x / B91x
- Open the menu with the menu key on the keypad.
- Press 5 to open the settings menu.
- Press 2 to open the Date/Time Menu.
- Press 1 to select [Set Date].
- Enter your passcode.
- Press ENTER.
- Enter the new date.
- Press ENTER.
- Press 2 to select [Set Time].
- Enter the new time.
- Press ENTER.
- The date and time are set.
Adjusting the keypad brightness and volume
How to adjust the keypad brightness with B92x / B91x
- Open the menu with the menu key on the keypad.
- Press 5 to open the settings menu.
- Press 4 to open the Keypad Menu.
- Press 1 to select Brightness.
- To adjust the brightness, use PREV and NEXT.
- The keypad brightness is adjusted.
How to adjust the keypad volume with B92x / B91x
- Open the menu with the menu key on the keypad.
- Press 5 to open the settings menu.
- Press 4 to open the Keypad Menu.
- Press 2 to select Volume.
- To adjust the volume, use PREV and NEXT.
- The keypad volume is adjusted.
Maintenance
How to clean the housing
- If the control center housing is dirty, clean it with a soft dampened cloth.
- Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaners.
- Make sure that no fluid gets inside of the housing.
How to clean the LCD screen
- To remove fingerprints or dust from the keypad screen, use a soft cloth that you have dampened slightly with water.
